OneTen’s mission is to hire, promote and advance one million Black individuals and others who do not have a four-year degree into family-sustaining careers over the next ten years. Taking a skills-first approach with a focus on competencies, OneTen aims to close the opportunity gap and ignite potential for generations to come.
Originally founded to support upward social mobility of Black individuals and others without a 4-year degree through non-traditional education to employment pathways, OneTen has evolved to promote non-traditional learners from diverse educational backgrounds with the overarching mission of reducing the social stratification and increasing employment equity.
OneTen brings together employers, education and training programs, and community organizations to create accessible pathways to family-sustaining careers for talent from marginalized groups and job-seekers without a traditional four-year-degree to support their ongoing advancement. OneTen partners with reputable companies who support their mission and share a variety of job opportunities with OneTen in an effort to increase skills-based hiring. These employer partners include Airbnb, AllState, American Express, AT&T, Bank of America, Cisco, Deloitte, Delta Airlines, Geico, General Motors, Goldman Sachs, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Johnson&Johnson, JP Morgan Chase, Lowes, Nike, Pepsico, Samsung, Target, United Airlines, Verizon, Walmart, Well Fargo and many more.
