Responsibilities:
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build, Commision and Maintain a set of Assisted and Automated Driving pre-production engineering assets, including vehicles, development HIL (hardware in the loop) (hardware in the loop) Rigs and vehicle compute devices.
- Act as a key point of contact for product development teams, providing support by procuring, updating, and modifying engineering assets to support product development and engineering evaluation.
- Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders globally for efficient and timely asset turnover and refresh to ensure up to date hardware and vehicles that meet forward-looking project requirements.
- Support internal stakeholders, third party vendors, and other technical stakeholders in maintaining engineering assets off-site in the United States and Canada, acting as a key technical point of contact.
- Installation and ongoing maintenance of measurement equipment including external sensors, logging units and recorders.
- Utilization and documentation of structured problem-solving techniques in real time to ensure engineering assets are used with maximum efficiency, minimizing engineering downtime.
- Support non-engineering use of facilities and workshop, including events, presentations, and other operations events, as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized workshop area in compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and corporate policies
- Contribute to the creation and enforcement of vehicle booking and checkout policies, ensuring compliance, monitoring use, validating employee vehicle use authorization in conjunction with HR (Human Resources)
- Manage and maintain records of asset maintenance, updates, and changes in accordance with corporate guidelines, utilizing internal tools to do so
Qualifications:
- Technical expertise and experience of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features, including sensors, compute, and actuators.
- Extensive experience in vehicle logging using tools such as CANAlyzer and Wire Shark.
- Hands On experience of building up ADAS development vehicles including radar, camera, lidar and GPS (Global Positioning System) against a set specification.
- Experience of structured problem-solving skills such as Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of ADAS Measurement equipment.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements and practical experience of completing and using Risk Assessments.
- Must be able to stand, sit and walk at for extended periods.
- A Full Valid Driving License
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office competency to produce plans, presentations, graphs, and single points lessons.
- Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is helpful.
