Vesta, Inc. is a not for profit, financially sound, mental health company which is expanding throughout the Maryland area. Vesta, Inc. provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare to include clinic, day program, and residential homes for those suffering from mental health disorders as well as transitional housing for homeless veterans.

Vesta, Inc is currently recruiting for the position of Case Manager for our Odenton Region’s PRP/Health Home program. This position will provide coordination for consumers will provide support through coordination of services, outreach, and sourcing additional resources for social, health, and medical needs. This position requires a great deal of hands on, on call, care to ensure clients achieve goals, reduce somatic health concerns, and are receiving all necessary support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supportive counseling and advocacy for clients.
  • Assist with the completion of client assessments providing environmental, psycho-social, financial, employment, housing, educational, and health information as appropriate.
  • Assist clients in locating educational/job training opportunities.
  • Maintain complete and accurate case records completing all documentation in a timely manner in accordance to policy and procedure as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks for case management, including maintenance and follow-up with all paperwork, phone calls and emails whole maintaining accurate and complete case records.
  • Refer clients to appropriate services to include health care providers, educational support groups, and family events. Conduct bi-weekly house inspections to ensure they meet licensing standards, including but not excluded to the monitoring of food levels, MAR, medications; report and address concerns.
  • Assist with the distribution of weekly and monthly allowances and collect fees from clients in a timely manner.
  • Conduct on and off site meetings and groups with clients as required.
  • Review doctor referrals and somatic care forms; assist with consumer follow up; act as liaison and contact for clients hospitalized.
  • Ensure that homes meet the standards defined for comfort, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Report and follow up as needed on needed repairs.
  • Ensure adequate supplies (emergency food, food, medicine, first aid, etc) are available in quantities as defined by the organization.
  • Conduct fire drills.
  • Salary at time of hire ranges from (depending on degree and experience):

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in the Health and Human Service field or Bachelor’s Degree with experience in a comparable role.
  • Have ability to research services and benefits and link consumers based on needs and treatment goals.
  • Have experience in a coordinator or supervisory role in a residential/group home setting.
  • Have knowledge of mental health disorders
  • Have 3 years of experience with case management
  • Possess a valid driver license, reliable transportation, and willingness to transport clients in personnel vehicle as well as drive a 15 passenger van.
  • Ability to be flexible and available to respond to consumers and crises situations
  • Possess excellent time management and organization skills
  • Have the ability to work independently and handle high stress situations
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Operate in the highest ethical standards and comply with all regulatory requirements

Salary:

  • Bachelors Degree: $43,680 – $48,921.60
  • Masters Degree: $49,000 – $54,880

Residential Counselor

We are currently in search of several compassionate individuals who have a passion for working with consumers who have been diagnosed with severe mental illness to work in our Odenton Region Residential Program. These individuals would be assisting with coordination of client care and daily activities such as meal preparation, household chores, grooming, extra-curricular activities, medication monitoring and general oversight of consumers in the residential homes which are located throughout Anne Arundel County. This position would be working in group homes with senior clients who have a variety of diagnosis and behavior disorders, but also have somatic care needs.

Pay is $16.83-$18.85/hr based on education level and experience. 16.83 is based on meeting the minimum requirements of having a HS diploma and 3 years experience.

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Direct Support Specialist that will work every other Saturday and Sunday 8am-8pm and every Tuesday and Thursday 3pm-11pm.

Qualifications:

  • Caring, self-directed individuals who also take direction and feedback well.
  • 3 years of experience working as a direct support professional or something similar
  • Self-motivation and ability to coordinate activities
  • Ability to re-direct and de-escalate individuals
  • Experience providing skills training
  • Ability to drive a 15 passenger vans daily and possess and maintain, throughout employment, a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to enter information electronically and have a basic comfort with computers.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening such as background check, drug testing, and reference verification.
  • The ideal candidate would be a compassionate individual with an understanding of the mentally ill and the ability to work individually and as a team member. This candidate must able to communicate in a positive, professional manor, and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Service field preferred but not required.

Certified Substance Use Counselor

Vesta, Inc. is seeking a certified substance use counselor to provide substance use treatment for it’s Outpatient (OP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Program. Vesta serves individuals who are suffering from a wide range of diagnosis including severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders. Services provided would be individual, family, and group therapy as well as treatment planning and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that consumers in our program are receiving quality care.
This position would be primarily located in the Lanham, MD area, and would include travel to our other locations in Maryland that provide Substance Use treatment.

This is a fee for service position. Hours of position are M-F 8a-4:30p with one late day.

Must be certified CAC-AD, CPC-AD, LGADC, etc. recognized by the state of Maryland. CSC-AD and LG/LCPC will be considered. Non-licensed/certified applicants will not be considered.

Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus for Full-Time Availability.

Ideal candidate would be available Monday through Friday, with at least their CAC-AD certification.

Skillsets:

  • Knowledge of substance abuse treatment and of 12 Step or Self-Help recovery process

  • Demonstrate the ability to address client behaviors effectively and with appropriate frequency, approved behavioral management strategies

  • Work cooperatively with other staff members and Corrections staff members and supervisors
  • Demonstrate patience and consideration in dealing with others

  • Ensure client confidentiality in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Associates degree in human services or substance use field with State of Maryland credentials. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • AD Trainee, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, CPC-AD, LGADC
  • Minimum of one-year experience working in a human service/substance abuse treatment setting
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid,
  • Familiarity with 12-step/Self-Help recovery programs
  • Possess valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Mental Health Therapist

Vesta, Inc is seeking a Licensed Bilingual Therapist to provide clinical services to consumers at our Silver Spring Region. Vesta serves individuals who are suffering from a wide range of diagnosis including severe mental illness. Service provided would be individual, family, and group therapy as well as treatment planning and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that consumers in our clinic are receiving quality mental health care.

Applicants MUST be licensed in the state of Maryland to provide mental health services (LGPC, LCPC, LGSW, LCSW-C, LGMFT, LCMFT, APRN). Supervision will be provided for graduate level candidates.

Up to $8,000 sign-on bonus for Full-Time Availability.

Ideal candidate would be available Monday through Friday, with ability to provide some services in person, remote, or hybrid as needed.

This position will have flexibility with working from home and in the office. Provides free annual CEUs.

Salary ranges are as follows and are capped by LCSWs because of their ability to bill Medicaid and Medicare which we take exclusively at our non-profit:

  • LGPC, LMSW, LPC: $54,000 – $60,480 p/y
  • LCPC, LCMFT: $56,500 – $63,280 p/y
  • LCSW: $60,770 – $66,080 p/y
  • LCSW w/Clinical Supervision: $62,540-$66,080 p/y

Therapists can also be compensated on a Fee for Service Basis through a monthly invoice process.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to provide therapy in Spanish.
  • Provides individual and/or group sessions and social casework for residents/clients and their families.
  • Serves as a member of the treatment team, working with other disciplines in diagnosing problems, formulating treatment plans, and evaluating progress.
  • Provides necessary social work treatment in accordance with medical treatment plans and modifies these plans to further therapeutic goals.
  • Prepares socio-psychiatric case history information, psychosocial assessment, and social work treatment plans, for use in pre-admission screening and diagnosis.
  • Knowledge of child-centered play therapy; hypnosis and brief psychotherapy; grief and loss issues in play therapy for children; relationship enhancement therapy with couples and families; Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT); and Reality Therapy.
  • Follows regulatory and billing requirements ensuring that all services delivered are compliant.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision preferred but not required.

LCSW-C Clinical Supervisor

Vesta, Inc is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) to provide clinical services to consumers at our Silver Spring Region. Vesta serves individuals who are suffering from a wide range of diagnosis including severe mental illness. Service provided would be individual, family, and group therapy as well as treatment planning and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that consumers in our clinic are receiving quality mental health care. The ideal candidate will also supervise LMSW therapists and clinical interns.

Applicants MUST be licensed in the state of Maryland to provide mental health services as an LCSW-C, and must have “Clinical Supervisor” designation.

Up to $8,000 sign-on bonus for Full-Time Availability.

Ideal candidate would be available Monday through Friday, with ability to provide some services in person, remote, or hybrid as needed.

Schedule is flexible, but the ideal candidate be able to work some evenings and Saturdays. Those available full-time will be given priority. Compensation can either be Fee for Service or Salary
