Title: Microsoft Excel Specialist
Location: Woodstock/Hamilton/Hybrid/Remote
Type: 6 months (possibility of extension/perm)

Description

As a Microsoft Excel Specialist in an ERP context, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in Microsoft Excel to support and optimize ERP-related processes and data management. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure accurate data entry, efficient reporting, and effective analysis within the ERP system. Your role will play a critical part in enhancing data integrity and streamlining workflows within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Data Entry and Validation: Accurately enter data into the ERP system using Microsoft Excel, ensuring completeness and adherence to predefined standards. Validate data integrity and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  2. Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain Excel-based reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights into ERP data. Analyze trends, identify anomalies, and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  3. Data Cleansing and Standardization: Identify and correct data inconsistencies, duplicates, and formatting issues within the ERP system. Implement data cleansing and standardization techniques in Excel to improve data quality.
  4. Data Manipulation and Transformation: Utilize advanced Excel functions, and formulas to manipulate and transform ERP data as per business requirements. Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
  5. Data Import and Export: Collaborate with IT teams to import and export data between Excel and the ERP system. Ensure data accuracy and compatibility during the transfer process.
  6. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate existing data management processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Propose and implement enhancements to streamline workflows and optimize data entry and reporting processes.
  7. User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Excel functionalities and best practices within the ERP context. Assist users in troubleshooting Excel-related issues and provide guidance on data manipulation techniques.

Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: In-depth knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation techniques.
  2. ERP System Familiarity: Familiarity with ERP systems and their data structures. Experience working with ERP data within an Excel environment is highly desirable.
  3. Must have experience specifically with in fore implementation
  4. Data Analysis Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and present insights effectively using Excel charts, graphs, and pivot tables.
  5. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with data, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
  6. Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify data-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose effective solutions.
  7. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and end-users. Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  8. Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing ERP requirements and learn new tools and techniques as needed.
