Description:
Spherion Jacksonville is looking for a Desktop Support Technician Tier 1 for our client in Riverside.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, log, and resolve technical problems with software applications and computer hardware.
- To set up and manage user accounts and permissions to consent access to a network.
- Upholding and testing security, blocking unapproved access to the network, company assets, and facilities.
- Conduct regular maintenance on the network and assist with planning for the prevention of unexpected failures.
- Monitoring day-to-day computer performance.
- Update and maintain computer inventory and equipment.
- Maintain and resolve issues on LAN/WAN, VoIP telephone, AV systems connections.
- Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems keeping in mind compatibility factors.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
- Endorse and apply upgrades to systems to ensure durability.
- Assess functional needs to regulate system purchase specifications.
- Resolve hardware and network connectivity issues.
- Validate & approve VPN access for all remote users.
- Assist in technical upgrading and maintenance of entire desktop systems.
- Support in testing and deployment of new applications and systems.
- Train and guide staff in acceptable hardware and software usage.
- Working hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products.
- Enthusiastic about technology and willing to learn and stay on the cutting edge.
- Great customer service/support skills.
- 3 years of related work experience or technical training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
