We are looking add a junior DevOps engineer who has had experience of working Azure to a team of automation engineers and DevOps engineers for a platform as a service technology business that work very closely with educational institutions and improve the overall communications through their digital platform.
This platform utilised Azure in a heavy way which is why you will need experience of Azure environments, writing scripts and integrating api’s. Whilst we are calling this a junior DevOps engineer, you will need to ideally have hands-on experience in Azure and script writing with Ruby, JavaScript, Python or similar.

Responsibilities:
- Configuration, maintenance and new feature developments of the Azure Platform
- Daily monitoring of the platform
- Checking for any bugs and technical issues which may need solving and reporting
- Writing scripts and tooling
- Point of call for any technical questions and support issues
- Looking at opportunities to scale and add new features based on customer feedback
- Help support the DevOps and cloud teams with testing of new features.
Qualifications:
- Experience in creating scripts and integrating APIs
- Understanding of the software development life cycle
- Passion and knowledge of DevOps within Azure
- Azure toolset and environment knowledge
- Azure experience – not limited to all:
- Azure App Service
- Application Gateways
- Azure Managed SQL
- Azure Functions
- CI/CD Tools – Azure DevOPs
- Application Insights
- Log WorkSpaces
- Software engineering principles knowledge
- Knowledge of scripting languages including Python or Ruby or Bash
- JavaScript programming experience
- .NET experience / exposure
- A keenness to learn new technologies
- Understanding of the software life cycle
