The Mental Health Counselor will provide outpatient clinical-based mental health counseling services to couples, families, and individuals who are clients of the Company. The Mental Health Counselor may, from time to time, be assigned cases involving the treatment of couples, families, adults, adolescents, and children.




▪ Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Counseling or Social Work
▪ A valid, active, unrestricted license (Ph.D., PsyD, LCPC, LCSW, LPC or LSW) by the Illinois Dept. Financial and
Professional Regulation (Candidate must be licensed and prepared to provide a valid copy of such licensure)


▪ Ability to carry a caseload having a minimum 25 client sessions each week, subject to client availability
▪ Must work a minimum of two (2) evenings per week and one (1) weekend day
▪ Previous experience in a private mental health counseling practice preferred
▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
▪ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
▪ Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
▪ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
▪ Hold strong organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and punctual with all assignments
▪ Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively, as required by the assigned tasks
▪ Bi-lingual preferred
▪ Hold a specialty in one or more counseling specialties (i.e., couples, teens, trauma, EMDR, grief, anger management, substance abuse, etc.)
▪ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, or related software


▪ Provide psychotherapy services (on-site or telehealth, as authorized) to the Company’s clients as assigned by the Clinical Director and according to the Company’s policies and procedures;
▪ Respond to client requests for service or calls within one business day, whether the client makes such request in person, by phone, voicemail, email, or otherwise;
▪ Effectively communicate with the client’s treatment team (i.e., primary care physician, psychiatrist, school, etc.), as appropriate and as necessary;
▪ Timely complete all written records for each client, including but not limited to, intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents required from time-to-time according to the Company’s policies and procedures or as otherwise instructed by the Clinical Director;
▪ Maintain regular, reliable attendance and timely arrival to all scheduled client sessions and mandatory supervisory meetings with Clinical Director;
▪ Attend all clinical consultations and staff meetings;
▪ Maintain all records required by law and meet all recordkeeping deadlines required by the Company’s agreements, policies and as otherwise communicated by the Clinical Director;
▪ Keep all electronic client records up-to-date;
▪ Attend all staff meetings or required workshops as scheduled in advance by the Clinical Director
▪ Diligently and faithfully perform all assignments in a professional manner and in the best interest of the clients and the Company;
▪ Establish and maintain continuous licensure for the services provided to clients, as may be required by federal, state, and local laws;
▪ Other duties, as may be assigned from time to time
