We have exciting technical roles in areas like Network Engineering, Cyber Security and Application Development at one of our banking clients in Stevenage. This program is specifically for those without degrees.  

Before starting your role, you’ll receive 6-8 weeks of full-time training at the Wiley Edge Academy. You will be paid while learning the technical and power skills you need to hit the ground running. 

You’ll get continuous support with regular check-ins and a personal development plan to help you learn skills relevant to your role. You will also receive a salary increase every 9 months as well as a range of flexible benefits.     

Responsibilities:

  • The training modules cover the tools and concepts required to build software applications using Python. We’ll teach you how to build and manage databases using MySQL and examine concepts and tools related to DevOps Engineering.  
  • You will also learn DevOps basics, tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Docker, as well as at CD/CI using Jenkins, version control, and Lean and Agile approaches to developing software as a team.

Qualifications:

  • This program is specifically for those without degrees.  
  • If you’re passionate about a career in technology and you’re located within 15 miles of Stevenage, this is perfect for you.

Employer Insights:

After you submit your application you can expect:

  • If candidate meets minimum criteria they will be invited to a Teams interview and will be required to create a PPT beforehand to present
  • If they are successful post interview they will be asked to complete an online tech test; this is not pass/fail, but instead will help us gage what if any additional support they require during training
  • In person assessment centre in Stevenage w/c 22nd April
  • If successful at assessment centre, their CV’s will be shared with Hiring manager(s)
  • Hiring manager interviews will start w/c 29th April
  • Training to start 20th May
  • Deployed on site in Stevenage 15th July
