Location: Fort Worth, TX

We are seeking a Web Developer with strong Python experience to become an integral part of the Cyber and Information Technology Team at Certrec. Join us to work with our internal development team, Network Administrators, and Quality Assurance to assist in providing top-quality web-based tools, documentation of those tools, and bug correcting prior to production release. You will be responsible for working with other developers and specialists in creating and modifying computer application software or specialized utility programs to meet the needs of Certrec customers. The ideal candidate will be deadline and detail-oriented and have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop software solutions for Certrec customers
  • Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency and code
  • Work with web developers, marketing team, and engineers to ensure the right look and vital features to meet the business needs of the customer
  • Process documentation for new and existing products
  • Testing software for functionality, improvements, and defects
  • Facilitate code changes by controlling software releases to a production environment
  • Perform routine software maintenance

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or GED and at least 1 year of experience in web development using Python or PHP
  • Good working knowledge of SQL (MySQL preferred)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (i.e. SVN, Git) and industry-standard release procedures
  • Understanding the ins and outs of HTTP protocols, developer tools, SSL certificates, and web application architecture
  • Good working knowledge of design patterns and S.O.L.I.D. Programing principles
  • High level of technical understanding and familiarity with Agile-based development
  • Ability to work in a small team environment
  • Work authorization/security clearance requirements
