Location: Hybrid (Peachtree City, GA)

This position is for a highly motivated Developer with .Net experience to join a small, specialized team working on cost accounting and operational modeling solutions in support of the trucking industry. The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing production-quality solutions using the .Net platform. The position will have two primary foci. The first will be the continuing development and maintenance of our current production systems written in VB.Net using the .Net Framework. The second will be the architectural design and implementation of our next generation system to be developed primarily using C# and .Net Core. The candidate should be comfortable moving between distributed and thick-client models.

Responsibilities:

  • Under little to no supervision, contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle to include design, coding, unit testing and deployment
  • Work within an evolving development environment utilizing small teams that include developers, data analysts and QA test members
  • Liaison between development and technical support groups
  • Assist in creating technical documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Accounting field or equivalent experience
  • 4-8 years’ experience in .Net development
  • Exposure to CIS product or other SMC³ products preferred
  • Visual Basic 6.0 experience as a tertiary language skill set is a plus
  • Ability to design/develop/debug Windows/PC based applications
  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as a part of the team
  • Experience evaluating and implementing best practices tools and techniques for software development
  • Exposure to the LTL and/or TL Trucking industries is a plus.
