Description:

Aquila is a digital innovation company leading in providing subsea BOP reliability services. We are looking for a technical support engineer to join our growing engineering team! The role will involve supporting the rigs and the Aquila Real-Time Operation Center in the sustaining and technical troubleshooting of the different software solutions offered by the company.

Our main team is based in Houston, TX, with a preference for Texas applicants, but we are open to partially remote members as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Support operations by answering technical questions on software functionality
  • Check system data connectivity and provide guidance on the path forward to solve any issue
  • Support fixing critical hardware or software issue
  • Work closely with the existing development and Data Science team on system improvements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 0-2 year of experience, Oil &Gas is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and Python
  • Familiarity with Matlab is preferred

This position may involve support during after hours to support the ongoing operations.
