Mezamé of Chicago is an EMDR-specialized therapy practice, on a mission to help everyone strengthen their mental resilience. Our therapists pair EMDR with modern counseling theories for a highly effective, personalized approach for each client. We are motivated by the belief that everyone can benefit from therapy, and we have built a team that reflects the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our clients.

ROLE: Mezamé of Chicago is seeking a highly-motivated therapist, who is either already EMDR-trained or deeply curious about the modality. The focus for this role is providing outpatient therapy, primarily to adults and couples, as well as some cases of adolescents and families. For any therapist not yet trained in EMDR, Mezamé will support your training and provide strong supervision, under the clinical leadership of Robert E. Manrique, to develop your skills as a practitioner.

HOURS: This is a full-time role, with an expectation that you will see at least 25 patients per week. The hours and days of the week that you see clients will be determined in collaboration with you.

LOCATION: Currently, all our therapists continue to see clients virtually, and we are not practicing from a shared group office. We expect to return to an office environment, under a hybrid model, later in 2021.

PRACTICE BACKGROUND: Mezamé of Chicago is not a typical therapy practice. Our goal is to transform both our clients’ and therapists’ experiences by: Specializing in EMDR therapy, and pairing this with other forms of psychotherapy, in order to provide highly effective and personalized treatment for clients Elevating the client experience with high-touch, seamless service Investing in a supportive environment for our therapists, so our team of top caliber practitioners can focus on clients to achieve results.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide EMDR and other forms of counseling as an outpatient service, initially virtually and eventually both virtually and in person Help define practice culture and internal processes Assist practice marketing activity to build client base

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work Licensed in the State of Illinois as an LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD. Note that we are accepting exceptional LPC and LSW applicants, with the expectation that such team members will practice under our clinical leadership’s supervision
