Spherion is hiring an Applications Engineer for their client in the tooling industry in Warsaw, IN!
The Applications Engineer will provide in-plant technical support to drive tooling-related efficiency and achieve cost savings for their customer.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly review CPU reports, UTCs, overconsumption, and high cost tooling
- Tool testing
- Researching new options for new tooling technology
- Rework and inspection of all tools to determine if they need to be sent back to the manufacturer for regrind or rebuild
- Regularly meet with customer to share findings and present new solutions
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in the tooling industry
- 3+ years of tool management experience
- Proven cost-savings experience
- Familiar and comfortable using Excel or Google Sheets regularly- good understanding of formulas and lookup/search functions
