Description:
The IT Business Systems Analyst will develop a comprehensive understanding of mission and lines of business and be an active leader in the entire solution development and project management lifecycle for complex enterprise solutions.
Onsite 5 days a week initially, once trained up can WFH on Fridays.
- Will be working with a team of 2 Developers and 1 Solutions Architect (PM/BSA) + Sys Support Eng on the Solutions and Dev team
- Team focuses on web, custom apps, config changes, integrations
Tech stack: facilities based systems, Tableau, Workday ERP, Microsoft stack - Will support a diverse range of projects and own them from start to finish – BSA/some light PM
Responsibilities:
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio of enterprise systems and identifying opportunities to effectively utilize and integrate systems to achieve organizational objectives
- Engaging with business units and stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging technology and/or business process changes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Conducting business process analyses, needs assessments and cost benefits analyses for projects and initiatives
- Formulating and defining project objectives, scope, implementation plan and schedule
- Preparing functional, system and program specifications and requirements
- Utilizing standard project management methodologies to manage the entire project lifecycle
- Participating in testing and debugging of enterprise systems
- Planning, organizing, and conducting user training
- Developing and maintaining system and business process documentation
- Participating in high-level development activities such as data reporting and analytics; workflow development; and Enterprise system configuration, automation, and integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- At least one year of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must be highly self-motivated and capable of functioning independently with a minimum of direction and supervision.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and will be highly effective at engaging with customers and diverse stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Must have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as top notch customer service skills.
- Previous exposure to the entire software development lifecycle and project management methodologies.
- Ability to use experience and judgment in selecting among solutions and project decisions.
- Must be able to engage leadership when significant deviations are proposed or when unprecedented problems arise.
