Description:
Apex Systems has multiple openings for Multiple levels (from Jr, Mid and Senior ) of 95% remote Network Engineers for our client based out of Bethesda, MD. If interested, please respond with a copy of your most up to date resume.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support LAN, WLAN, and WAN network infrastructure
- Serve as technical escalation point
- Create and maintain technical and process documentation
- Troubleshoot infrastructure related hardware or network connectivity issues
- Perform testing and validation of new hardware and code
- Create maintenance plans and documentation as part of change control to implement network changes in LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructure
- Conduct site surveys for future wired and wireless network installation
- Provide consultation support to internal and external partners for network infrastructure design and enhancements
- Prepare network hardware and configurations
- Install new equipment as part of a new deployment, break/fix, or equipment refreshes
- Troubleshoot and resolve network related trouble tickets
- Coordinate with both internal and external partners as part of overall project delivery efforts
- Provide written status updates to project management for assigned
- Remote/Telework with onsite requirements at times
Qualifications:
- Python and Ansible experience Previous experience with Metro Ethernet networks and infrastructure
- Familiarity with enterprise and user networks
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or engineering related field 2-10 years of experience in a computer related field JNCIA or CCNA (Required)
- Experience in production network environments
- Experience in the configuration and deployment of Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Previous experience with troubleshooting and configuration of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, and Spanning Tree Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Experience with the creation and maintenance of documentation such as operating procedures and network diagrams
