GDIT’s Summer Internship Program is designed with you in mind!  Our internship provides you the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative team that is helping to solve our clients’ most challenging matters. Throughout GDIT’s 10-week Summer Internship Program, you will have the opportunity to do the following:

  • Work side-by-side with GDIT professionals delivering work for clients.   
  • Collaborate with a team of peers to research and propose solutions to a current business challenge.   
  • Participate in a mentoring circle led by an early career champion. 
    Interact with GDIT leaders.  
  • Participate in professional development. 

Responsibilities:

  • The Global CIO Business Process Automation Internship position requires a creative problem solver to develop automated Business Process Management (BPM) workflow and/or Robotics Process Automations (RPA). The Intern Software Developer position will work with the RPA and BPM development team to optimize business processes and accelerate digital transformation through UiPath and/or Appian software. The Intern will attend on the job training from the vendor sites and shadow the developers to create business process automations.
  • Responsibilities include analysis, development, support, implementation, and scaling of process automation in a high paced enterprise environment.
  • Possess the ability to work with the business to ensure that processes are well understood, and detailed specifications are appropriately captured to allow proper workflow/bot design.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar discipline. 
  • Ability to actively collaborate with others.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
  • Ability to manage projects and prioritize competing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • US Citizen
  • Beginner to Intermediate coding skills (such as Java, Python, VB.NET, C# or others)
  • Beginner to intermediate logic (including Boolean logic (AND/OR/NOT/etc.))
  • Good analytical/problem solving skills
  • Eagerness to learn/curiosity
  • Good interpersonal skills

GDIT interns are paid and full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks. Applicants should have a minimum of one semester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Take the first step and apply today!

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
