Responsibilities:

  • Daily,, Weekly and Monthly advanced health checks of system, servers in a domain, network, and the LAN in its entirety
  • Advanced Health Checks on System and Servers to ensure the LAN is operating as expected
  • Account Management: Account Creations, User Group Policy & Disabling
  • Advanced DISA STIGs remediation to include group policy, patching, configuration, installations, and upgrades
  • Data Center Equipment Maintenance, Installation and Repair
  • Advanced monitoring and troubleshooting of software and hardware components in the system
  • System builds, upgrades, migrations, and configuration of data center equipment and the virtual infrastructure
  • Resolution of Domain Network, Server, and Data Center Equipment incidents
  • Planning, Installation, Patching, and Upgrading of existing as well as new hardware and software solutions for system
  • Drafting, revising, and submittal of standard operating procedures related to the entirety of the LAN
  • Drafting of non-routine procedures and submittal of change requests for system
  • Primary Emergency & Failover support
  • Primary support during after-hours and weekend maintenance windows
  • Occasional floating shift coverage
  • Other tasks as assigned related to Tier 3 help desk support, system and database administration, computer and storage management, network management, access management, data center equipment operations management, FISMA related tasks, Non-routine change requests, and Non-routine Operations & Maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills or Experience:
    • Windows Server & Active Directory Administration in a Domain Network
    • Virtual Machine Administration based on VMware technologies
    • Backup Tape Library Management
    • Endpoint Protection and Management Administration
    • Administration of Desktop Devices and Peripherals
    • Data Center Equipment Maintenance & Configuration (Data Storage Devices, Firewalls, Servers Networking Devices and Tape Library)
    • Data Center System Builds, Upgrades and Migrations
    • Citrix Administration and Management
    • Advanced DISA STIGs Remediation
    • Aptitude for learning new technologies and skills
  • Mandatory Requirements:
    • Eligible to work in the United States
    • Ability to gain IT-1 Public Trust
    • Successfully pass a drug test
    • Must have resided in the United States for the last 7 years or more, and during this period has not lived overseas for 1 year or more
    • A minimum of twelve years of related professional IT experience
      • Educational degrees are also considered as experience. Below is the number of relevant years of experience based on the highest completed degree:
        • Associates Degree: 2 years relevant experience
        • Bachelors Degree: 4 years relevant experience
        • Masters Degree: 7 Years relevant experience
  • Required Skills and Experience:
    • Past, professional, and direct hands-on (as well as day-to-day) operational experience to successfully accomplish the responsibilities of this position.
