Description:
The Service Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining upper or lower limb prosthetics. In this role, every day is an opportunity to directly help someone. This position requires multi-tasking, time management and prioritization skills, attention to detail and a ‘customer first’ attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Repairs, calibrates and maintains upper or lower prosthetics.
- Performs component testing protocols for quality assurance.
- Provides technical assistance to customers regarding repair issues, estimates, product knowledge and compatibilities.
- Offers guidance to customers on repair decisions.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
- Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
- Prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.
- Shows dependability by being to work on time and plans requests for time off ahead of schedule.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Promotes and personally observes safety procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of related technical experience.
- Minimum 1 year of computer experience; must confidently operate a computer and have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. ERP systems (like SAP) experience a plus.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools and inspection equipment.
- General mechanical aptitude or equipment troubleshooting and repair experience a plus.
- Hand-eye coordination required.
- Ability to conduct themselves professionally and communicate effectively with appropriate audience.
