Description:

This role serves as governance, advisor, and program manager for the Account Team for a Client. Leads a wide variety of initiatives and coordinates with cross-functional teams to bring projects to completion both on time and within budget.  This role sits on a high-performing, active team that delivers results to the Organization and the Client.

This role manages programs/projects from initiation through delivery, develops corporate and/or organizational policies and authorizes their implementation. This person will perform project management duties involving cross functional teams focused on delivery of specific outcomes. In this role you will select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. This person will oversee plans, budgets and directs schedules.

Project Management and Service Delivery

• Uses strong project management skills and delivery methodologies to lead the delivery of projects or sub-projects within planned timelines, budget, margins and quality specifications

• Manages the development and integration of the entire project(s). Consistently delivers high value, “client ready” work, including communications and presentations, with minimal supervision

• Writes accurate and effective statements of work so that both the client and Unisys staff understands the project expectations and roles

• Proactively reports project risk and deliverable issues to superiors for assistance as soon as possible

• Establishes and manages the project plan (development, delivery schedule, resource requirements, 3rd parties, cost budget methodology, tools, standards and quality)

• Uses appropriate methodologies (such as risk mitigation/management, change/control management and contract management) to manage major projects or a group of projects

• Applies business process redesign and/or information planning methodologies to client business problems. Combines knowledge of business process redesign and/or information planning methodologies with a deep knowledge of their domain and/or solution to sell, design and deliver a full range of solutions

• Leads or supports the implementation of change management, business process redesign or information planning.

Business Development and Client Relationship Management

• May generate and participate in new business opportunities that result in profitable revenue growth within the client. Creating change orders when additional work required is outside the original contracted scope of the project and/or services proposal activity in Unisys portfolio areas

• Develops strong client relationships Interfaces with client’s technical executives to understand their business challenges and recommend innovative integrated business solutions

• Communicates deliverables, conducts client meetings, obtains required client sign off and specifications, client acceptance and billing

• Interfaces with the client’s technical executives to understand their business challenges

• Manages the performance of internal and external service providers in order to ensure the implementation of deliverables and resulting client satisfaction. Interfaces with sub-contractors. People Management

• Manages project work teams and the development and integration of project deliverables

• Sets objectives and priorities, assigns and reviews tasks, performance and staffing requirements

• Staffs projects and maintains the resource plan

• Provides mentoring, development and performance feedback to team members

Contract and Financial Management

  • Build excel-based financial models to demonstrate cost effectiveness of proposed new services and projects
  • Develop senior executive presentations and communications
  • Perform the necessary analysis and provide recommendations on a course of action using the strategic thinking processes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner, and assist in facilitating effective decision making.
  • Lead and participate in key meetings to provide directional insight and work with key stakeholders within and outside the organization to drive initiatives.
  • Provide operational readiness, maximize time and efficiency by integrating cohesion and alignment while inspiring and engaging, presentation creation, and implement governance.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to manage the “brand” of the organization, acting as a final checkpoint for messaging and content delivered to senior leaders and other parts of the business.
  • Align key stakeholders, determine project schedules, and identify risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversees contract management process for steady state contract as well as new SOWs
  • Manages Contract Change process for any changes to existing contracts and SOWs
  • Performs complex scenario analysis for any service changes to the contract
  • Participate in monthly forecasting process for entire Account

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Must be within a commutable distance to Sleepy Hollow, NY. A hybrid, onsite work schedule of 3 days per week is required***

• Project Management experience with at least 2 years managing large, more complex projects, generally up to $5M of services value per year

• Executive leadership interaction experience required

• Portfolio project management accountability required

• Project delivery orchestration required

• Project management in infrastructure, finance and business operations is highly preferred

• Training in the practical application of business process redesign, change management and information planning tools and methodologies

• Using business process redesign, change management and information planning tools and methodologies to identify new business opportunities

• Successful track record of engagement capture and client relationship management

• Successfully completed PMI or IPMA professional certification

• Bachelor’s Degree required
